Competitive Floor & Vault

Our competitive section is invitational only.

We have a number of competition pathways to cater for competitive gymnasts. The pathway that a gymnast may follow will depend on their age, ability and the number of dedicated training hours each week. Gymnasts may switch from one pathway to another and the club can recommend the level suitable for each gymnast. Spaces are reviewed regularly with new groups invited each August.

Development Gymnasts (under 8 years)

Our development gymnasts train between 4 and 6 hours per week. They take part in two competitions per year. Once they turn 8 years, they transition into either our 2 piece or 4 piece training groups.

Two Piece Gymnast

Our floor and vault gymnasts train all 4 piece of apparatus focusing on floor and vault in preparation for competitions. Our 2 piece gymnasts train 6 hours per week. Training groups are based on age and stage of the gymnas with set skills and vault heights for each level. Training groups train over Peebles and Galashiels classes or just Peebles. They compete in 4 competitions per year including Scottish Gymnastics Floor & Vault competitions, including the clubs own Elements Competition and competitions hosted by other clubs.
